I am an Aussie living in London with my husband Elliot and son Farley. Becoming a first time mother during a global pandemic, I had never felt more isolated and unsupported as I did in those first few months of lockdown. Breastfeeding, naps, cradle cap, it was all new and I had no idea what I was doing or how to get support. Sleep became a particularly difficult aspect of motherhood as my husband and I stumbled our way through frequent night wakings, short naps and unintentional co-sleeping.
After a couple more weeks I realised that we just couldn’t do this alone. So we made the decision to spend the best money of our lives and bought a professional sleep package.
Finally, we saw light at the end of a very gruelling and utterly exhausting tunnel. And just a few weeks later, we were all getting the quality sleep we so desperately needed!
